Writing a blog is a hurdle in and of itself, but what about promoting it? Simply sharing the link on Facebook won’t get you readers anymore. But, it doesn’t have to be complicated or overwhelming. In fact, with just a few simple tactics, you can get the word out to your friends, followers, and potential customers.

Three easy ways to promote your blog article:

Option 1: Carousel Post

This method allows you to use creative visuals to draw attention to your blog article and entice people to read it. Between Canva, the content from your article, and splashes of your colors and fonts, you’re going to be off to the races in no time!

Why carousels, though? Instagram’s algorithm is changing constantly, but right now, reels and carousels are the two hottest things. Reels can be intimidating when you’re first starting to post on social media for your business, so we encourage you to give this a shot and see how it turns out!

Plus, once you’ve created a carousel you love, you can duplicate it next time for a quicker post turnaround. Just change up the text, maybe swap some colors within your palette, and voila!

  2. Create a new design on Canva (1080×1350)
  3. Go back to the template and click “Ctrl + A” to select everything on the first page
  4. Go to your new design, and click “Ctrl + V” to paste it
  5. Edit (you may have to repeat steps 3&4 for each page so you get the full effect.
  6. Make sure to include your colors, fonts, etc. rather than just using theirs

Option 2: Single Graphic Post

This is a great way to create a simple and eye-catching post to promote your blog article without having to edit multiple pages of a graphic, download them, make sure they post in order, and all that jazz.

While single image posts aren’t as favored by Instagram’s algorithm right now, that doesn’t mean they won’t make a comeback! Plus, done is better than perfect. Our goal here is to help equip you to post consistently, and it all starts with the first post. So, what are you waiting for?

Option 3: Stories

If you don’t have the time to design, you can always use Stories! Like Russell Brunson of ClickFunnels says, it’s all about using the formula Hook-Story-Offer. This is the basic premise for most successful ads, and it is honestly the best format for any content. Just switch up “offer” for a call to action whether that’s engaging with your post or going to your website.

  1. Come up with a hook, story, and call to action such as…
    • “I used to think ____ was a joke”
    • *tell how you started using that product/service and what it did for you*
    • Want to learn more? See my latest blog post at yourdomainname.com/blog!
  2. Record yourself saying it.
  3. Post to your Instagram & Facebook Stories!

These three simple tactics are all you need to promote your blog article and get people interested in what you have created. Give them a try and watch your reader numbers grow!
